Engagement Video

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting up with Tyler and Dabe of Love Dot Photography to work on a little project. They are a husband and wife team, Dabe the photographer, Tyler the videographer and together they make a great duo. In the back of my mind I’ve been wanting to put together a short snid-bit (is that even a work?!?) video for my website, but I just never got around to it. You know when you put something on your to-do list and it just keeps getting moved to the bottom, yeah it was that kind of situation. I started putting together a video myself last year and quickly realized that I didn’t know how to edit it. I have this problem where I think I can do everything myself and that is not the case at all. Everyone is talented in a different way for a reason and thankfully, I’ve started to let go.

The stars aligned when I realized that Jeanie Beth & Dave’s engagement session was in Macon and Tyler and Dabe live in Macon! I was so excited when my mind finally made the connection that I immediately got in touch with them and we were able to set something up! And then I got nervoussss, I don’t know why, but I did! I kept thinking about how badly I was sweating and how red my face must be from the heat! Oh, vanity! Tyler was so patient with me and when I couldn’t get the words out he let me do it over and over again. A huge thanks to Tyler, Dabe, Jeanie Beth and Dave, you guys are the best!

P.S. Please excuse that the video and photo aren’t lined up! Don’t worry, I am finally getting a professional to help me with the blog, but more exciting news on that later!

Glen-Ella Springs Inn | Sara & Dee

Glen-Ella Springs is a gorgeous Inn nestled in the North Georgia Mountains that would be perfect for any wedding, but for Dee and Sara it was a background that fit their personalities. Sara is calm with a natural beauty that just glows and these two together are possibly some of the kindest people that I have ever met. As soon as I met their parents I understood exactly where it came from. Sara and Dee it was an honor to be a part of your big day and I am so thankful to have met you two!

Dee surprised Sara with a beautiful cross necklace right before their ceremony

After dinner and their first dances the snuck away for a few more portraits…

Dee mentioned that their was a gorgeous vantage point from the second story of the Inn and I am so thankful that he did! I ran up there as fast as I could and it took my breath away! What a stunning view!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a date weekend of sorts. It finally feels like summertime and I keep suggesting to Daniel that we go swimming. Something about the warm rays beaming down makes me want to float around in a pool so badly! We don’t have a pool so swimming was out, but we did go to a Braves game! This was the second time I’ve ever gone and I must say it’s an event. We tailgated, walked up to the Chop House and eventually made our way to our seats in the seventh inning. I enjoyed the game, but I have to admit I enjoyed my Dip-n-Dots even more!

I’ve tried really hard this year to have intentional time with Daniel. When I mark an “Off” weekend in my calendar I have to remind myself that I can’t  think about work, answer emails or step foot in my office. It’s tricky sometimes, but spending time with this sweet guy is my top priority. This season in our life is such a great one and I don’t want to miss out on a thing!
