Featured | The Fear That Came with It

I remember walking into my college roommates bedroom my junior year and plopping down on her bed. I had just submitted photos to Style Me Pretty and I was so nervous about it. I longed to be featured, to see my photos grace across the screen with elegance.  For some reason I felt like if I was featured I would be good enough, that was how I would know that I made it and I dreamed of it happening. My work wasn’t accepted and my little heart was broken, but my roommate/BFF continued to encourage me.

It isn’t all about being featured though, it is so much more. I was elated when I got the news that my work was accepting, but I am even more excited when I get a sweet thank you note from one of my couples. Knowing that I gave them an experience worth remembering means the world to me.

I was recently featured on Style Me Pretty’s Georgia blog and will be featured again today ( you can check it out HERE and HERE). It’s hard to express how thankful I am for every little opportunity and wonderful person that has come my way. I couldn’t pursue my passion if it wasn’t for the amazing couples that trust me, love me and become my friends. I love you all so much and I am so excited for everything to come! Pursue your dreams and you might just be surprised how much you can accomplish!
